Royal Dutch Virtual was started with several clear concepts in mind which led to our three pillars.
Professionalism – No drama. No Politics. Business-style approach to operating a Virtual Airline with the goal of providing a highly professional organization where pilots could simply fly, learn and enjoy their time.
Realism – Realistic Operations. Finding the perfect balance between realistic operations and simulator limitations. While a constantly moving target, do everything possible to keep that delicate pairing as balanced as possible.
Innovation – Modern Technology. Constant Improvements. Many Flight Sim organizations are stuck in the past. Creating a system that could be infinitely evolved and assembling a staff team who is always pushing the bounds.
The approach that was originally taken was one of a mimicking the successful operating structure and philosophy’s of start-up companies (as that was essentially what we were).
Following the agile development methodology and lean start up techniques, we began with our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and lot of questions surrounding what the Target Market wanted.
From day one, we solicited feedback every chance we got, listened to what the community was saying, and made rapid course adjustments using the data we received.
We continue to operate using agile development and soliciting feedback at every opportunity to this day and have no plans on changing this.
